Bathurst Redevelopment Takes a Big Step Forward
SHARE

The $200 million Bathurst Hospital redevelopment is another step closer with the appointment of the Project Team, alongside a call for community involvement today.

The NSW Government’s investment will deliver new health facilities and upgraded clinical services to transform health outcomes and experiences for the local community and wider Central West region.

The appointment of the Project Team is a key milestone in the delivery of this significant redevelopment and will ensure we can move ahead with planning to deliver innovative, patient-centred care healthcare within a modern, fit-for-purpose facility.

Building a hospital of this size requires in-depth planning and an experienced team of project managers and architects who have worked on a range of health infrastructure projects in both metro and regional areas have been engaged to progress the redevelopment.

The project team was appointed following a competitive tender process and includes:
•    TSA as the Project Manager
•    Billard Leece Partnership as the Architects

With the Project Team now on board, master planning is expected to be completed in early 2023, which will involve consultation with key stakeholders including clinicians, staff, patients, carers and the local community to inform planning and design.

Feedback and input from staff, the local community, carers and patients will be an important part of the planning process, to ensure the new facility reflects the needs and values of the Bathurst, Oberon and Rylstone communities.

The community are encouraged to attend the upcoming information sessions and meet with the Project Team directly to learn more about the planning for the redevelopment.
